WORK EXPERIENCE
Legal Writing Specialist at Hudson Immigration Law (Remote). September 2020 - March 2021
Wrote, edited, and copy-edited immigration petitions for academics, medical professionals, and researchers. Adapted to different writing styles while maintaining in-house style to appeal to clients and USCIS officers. Multitasked, juggling multiple writing projects at once, and worked with team leaders, attorneys, and other writers, to ensure client satisfaction.
Graduate Teaching Instructor at the UVA Department of English (Charlottesville, VA). August 2018 - May 2020
In the first year, I taught a 1:1 course load of ENCW 2300: Introduction to Poetry both semesters. Designed my own syllabus and assignments as well as leading discussion and workshop sessions. In the second year, taught a 2:2 with two sections of ENWR 1510: Writing as Critical Inquiry - Writing about Film in the fall and one section of poetry and one section of ENWR 1510: Writing as Critical Inquiry - Writing about Food in the Spring.
Film Inspection Intern at UVA Special Collections Library (Charlottesville, VA). October 2017 - January 2019
Inspected film from UVA’s special collections archive to make sure it was safe for projection and digitization. Cleaned and repaired damaged film, as well as filling out inspection reports.
Program Assistant at Baltimore Youth Film Arts (Baltimore, MD). May 2016 - June 2017
Responsible for administrative work and supporting the Baltimore Youth Film Arts Program in its mission to offer city residents ages 16-29 the opportunity to learn camera skills, refine storytelling techniques, and create films and photographs, as well as build an online archive of Baltimore voices; a representation of Baltimore, historical and current, real and imagined. Student Group President. Writers in Baltimore Schools (Baltimore, MD). May 2015 - May 2017
As president of the Writers in Baltimore Schools student group, sponsored by the JHU Center for Social Concern, I help support WBS in its mission to educate, motivate, inspire, celebrate, and build community with the youth of Baltimore through in-school, after-school, evening, weekend, and summer programming and events.

FELLOWSHIPS
The Bucknell Seminar for Younger Poets (Lewisburg, PA). June 2016
Held for three weeks in June, the Seminar provides an extended opportunity for undergraduate poets to write and to be guided by established poets. Applicants compete for ten places in the Seminar, all of which come with fellowships. Fellowships include tuition, housing in campus apartments, and meals. For the 2016 Seminar, visiting poets Mary Jo Bang and Brian Teare will join director K.A. Hays and staff members Deirdre O'Connor, Chet'la Sebree, and EG Means. (link)

2015-2016 Chaffee Writing Prize, given in recognition of the performance and promise of Writing Seminars undergraduates.

PROJECTS & ENGAGEMENTS
Dream of a Common Language Reading (Charlottesville, VA)
Assisted Professor Debra Nystrom in organizing a reading of the UVA creative writing professors and graduate students as a part of the UVA Arts festival. Organized the program as well as coordinating audio/visual elements of the reading.
BMore Outspoken (Baltimore, MD) Summer 2016
A mobile poetry cart dedicated to collecting poems, art work, words of wisdom, and stories from around the city, a collaboration between Writers in Baltimore Schools and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
Cannes Film Festival 2015 (Cannes, France)
Attended Cannes Film Festival as part of a summer program through the JHU Film and Media Studies department. Watching films and writing daily blog posts.
Youth Poet. Kundiman: Kavad: Mother Tongues (New York, NY) Summer 2015,
Mother Tongues recovers diasporic narratives by chronicling the lives and experiences of mothers across three Asian American generations. Interviews, poetry and performances combine to form an archive that documents the triumphs and challenges of building lives in America. (link)
